more >The ’80s Vert Challenge is a one-of-a-kind retro skate competition that hosted many of the world’s most legendary skateboarders including Tony Hawk, Steve Caballero, and Christian Hosoi. The exclusive one-day event was created to remember the eighties and celebrate their significance and influence on skateboarding. The covert contest took place at the Quiksilver headquarters in Huntington Beach on December 6th, 2008 and played host to very lucky skate fans in attendance. The event highlighted many of the most memorable qualities of the eighties skate era and offered prizes in Best Overall, Biggest air and a multitude of called out challenges. Skaters were awarded bonus points for riding with ‘80s era equipment and attire. Fans got to join in on the fun by donning their best ‘80s outfits.
