WIN GEAR 4 A YEAR!
July 2009 marks the launch of Gear 4 A Year, presented by etnies, Foundation, Silver, Pig, Quiksilver, Nixon, Skatepark of Tampa, The Skateboard Mag, and ShredOrDie.com. That's nine brands combined putting together what could be the biggest prize for an unsponsored skater ever. Skaters submit their two minute "sponsor me" video on ShredOrDie.com to win the opportunity of a lifetime...one year's worth of product from six brands, automatic entry and flight to Tampa Am, and a photo in The Skateboard Mag. Additional prizes include a second and third place flow package from all nine brands and individual prizes from each sponsoring brand.
How to Enter
1) Film your best "sponsor me" video and edit it down to roughly two minutes. Remember, less is more!
2) Upload your video to ShredOrDie.com during the month of August 2009.
3) Be sure to include your name and "Gear 4 A Year" in the title and in your video description, make sure to put your age and the city.
Winners
- The top ten finalists will be picked by the contest sponsors and announced on September 15th.
- Starting September 15th, the public will vote on who they want to win. This will represent 50% of the overall vote. Sponsor votes will make up the remaining 50%. Voting ends on Sept 30th.
- On October 1st a winner will be announced!

1st Place
- Officially get on the “flow” team of all participating Gear 4 A Year sponsors.
- Trip to Tampa Am with paid flight and gauranteed entry.
- A photo in The Skateboard Mag.
2nd and 3rd Places
- One "flow team" sized package from each of the sponsoring brands.

The following persons are not eligible to participate or win the Promotion: employees, officers and directors of Sponsor, each of their parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, related companies, suppliers, agents and retailers, advertising and Promotion agencies, and their immediate family members (defined as parents, siblings, children and spouse, regardless of where they reside) and/or those living in the same household of each. Void outside of 48 continental states of the United States, the District of Columbia, and wherever prohibited or restricted, and subject to all national, state, provincial, and local laws, rules, or regulations.
