Hosoi Slam 1985 (00:54)

You know when you are a kid and you see a bad slam, or remember someone as being the best skater in town? Then years later you see the footage again (or the skater) and they are nothing like you remember... The slam was soft, the skater was fat and can barely ollie. I was worried that this was the case with this Hosoi slam from a 1985 Mt Trashmore contest. My good friend Dave Messick filmed this, and I'm pretty sure he is the only one that did. He originally showed me the footage around 1995 and I was blown away...You see, Hosoi just didn't slam like that! Especially when he was doing his trademark airs on the edge of the ramp. I called Dave a few months ago to dig it out of the vaults, and it was just as good if not better then i remembered!! Enjoy this piece of history!

My newly built 12ft vert ramp (03:37)

Just recently completed a dream of mine. I´ve always wanted to skate vert but had nowhere´s to practice it or even try it..........so I took matters into my own hands, saved up some money, and built my own 12ft indoor vert ramp, complete with a lounge at the top for chill time. This ramp was made by my brother and I love the turn out. After 3 days of riding, I made a silly mistake by not knee sliding and broke my ankle............what a loser! *sigh....
