(2:23) " Puddles in The Sky " the new surf movie directed by Matt Kleiner is a cinematic exploration into all that is the art of surfing. Shot entirely in vivid high definition, the movie delivers stunning imagery from Indonesia, Australia, the Hawaiian Islands as well as North and Central America. Focusing on what, rather than who, the movie dives deep into all the creativity and inspiration that spawns from searching exotic locations for waves. The tightly choreographed soundtrack blends beautifully between originals scores by the Protist and up-tempo grooves from the likes of Sixtoo, Years Around the Sun, Jose Gonzales and more. Australian style master Adam Robertson narrates and stars in the movie along with Andrew Bennett, Dane Reynolds, Bobby Morris, Asher Pacey, Yadin Nichol, Cully Chesnut, Shane Dorian and many others. Puddles in the Sky is set for release March 25th 2008 on DVD, available through Mutiny Media. (15:47) Highlights from this year's Quiksilver bowlriders skate event on the Gold Coast. We drop in on the latest leg of Indonesia's pro-surfing tour, the Quiksilver Open at Lakey Peak. Skuff's film critic Sticko gives 5 thumbs up for soul-surf movie "Beyond The Lineup".... though we suspect the fact it features Sticko himself getting tubed off his lips may've swayed his opinion. Extreme skier Andreas Hatveit takes on the slopes of Sandpoint USA and boosts some sick air. And in Muzik we meet DrawCard, a young Gold Coast band who're getting a little help from all the right people in dropping their first album "Modern Rivalry" - currently getting the finishing touches from US producer Sylvia Massey, who's worked with the likes of Tool, the Chilli Peppers, and System of a Down... so she must have some idea what she's doin', right? < less
