More daredevil than athlete, Thomas Vanderham, stuck a no-hander over a 59-foot canyon gap and took home best trick. (1:16) This morning my original plan was just to do a few speed runs and continue testing my new suspension from De Wayne Jones on the 200 ft. natural jump. When I headed towards the ramp on my 2nd speed run I just decided to go for it. It was a bit scary because after the first speed run the batteries went out in our radar gun so I had no idea how fast I was going on the 2nd speed run. I backed off quite a bit on the throttle. I hit the ramp in my usual low flying tucked position and soared 330 ft. and 6 inches. Little did I know at the time that the current 4 stroke World record was set by Ryan Capes in Australia and was 324 ft. So almost by accident I set a new 4 stroke world record today. < less

(1:41) This footage of Bly Nantz is a bit older from early October 2007 when he was 14. There are three main spots he skates in this video: Nashville TN Metro Skatepark, Franklin TN Plaza, and the KWC area in Owensboro KY. We drove 2 hours down to Nashville to check out the Franklin Plaza for the first time. Bly got there and just threw down the backside flip without even ollie'ing the 8 set first. We didn't get to stay long as a friend's truck broke and we had to go back into Nashville to get him a new truck. We were at Franklin for a little over an hour. We the truck fixed and went to Metro (aka CWC). Bly hadn't been there since January of 2007 so he was really eager to skate the euro and hips. Again jumps out of the car and starts killin the place. Cab flip up the euro gap, tre haymaker up the euro. Metro was oddly vacant that day so Bly was able to hit a hip that you normally can't come at the way he did because if the flow of traffic. So he nailed 4 big spin double flips over the shallow hip - the one you are seeing was the cleanest of them. Bly kills tech street manuevers due to the fact that we have no skatepark in Ownebsoro KY so when he gets to go places and skate he's usually trying his tricks on new obstacles for the first time - and that's largely what you're seeing in his footythat I post here.
