(0:54) You know when you are a kid and you see a bad slam, or remember someone as being the best skater in town? Then years later you see the footage again (or the skater) and they are nothing like you remember... The slam was soft, the skater was fat and can barely ollie. I was worried that this was the case with this Hosoi slam from a 1985 Mt Trashmore contest. My good friend Dave Messick filmed this, and I'm pretty sure he is the only one that did. He originally showed me the footage around 1995 and I was blown away...You see, Hosoi just didn't slam like that! Especially when he was doing his trademark airs on the edge of the ramp. I called Dave a few months ago to dig it out of the vaults, and it was just as good if not better then i remembered!! Enjoy this piece of history! < less

Transworld had this competition called Skate & Create and we were invited along with DVS, Emerica, Osiris to have five of our team riders spend 9 days in a secret warehouse skating and creating. We were stoked! We played along just fine and now you can judge for yourself how sick this all came out. While skateboarding isn't about winning, in this case, we feel like real winners. < less
