We hope to make improvements to this incredible location that is currently little more than a covered, open space with a few ramps and rails scattered around. Hundreds of skaters from all over the Tri-Borough area, New Jersey, and elsewhere come to the park every week, which is in the heart of New York's skate district, accessible to public transportation, and shaded part of the day by virtue of the massive bridge structure overhead. The Coleman Skatepark at Manhattan Bridge is a sanctioned skatepark, and has such great potential to be a world-class skate spot. Please help and make a donation. The hole is 1200 feet deep – a seven second 100 mph B.A.S.E. drop into an echo chamber filled with sound of screaming freefalls and the wail of thousands of swallows and parrots living in the vertical cave walls. The show opens with on camera host Jason Lazo dwarfed by the 20-foot tall Pipe-part of 10,000 sq. foot Skate Park in Upland opened to the public in 2002 designed by Steve Alba and California Skate parks Purkiss Rose.
