His little girl is now 5 and has just started riding. We get to see the first glimpse of her progress. I think we may have a star in the making. That brings us nicely to Sideshow. What a man. We all dream of our own backyard setup. Well he has it. But I think he needs to spend a little bit more time preparing it. The show opens with Jason in metro Motown talking about his band the Don Juan Invitation and the local music scene. Great original tunes here along with a special Xcorps tribute song. After that the camera shifts to host Bob Woodard at the XC test site at Irvine Lake California where Bob takes a look at a new way to ride the waves-on a Powerski! See how he does on his first ride on the board all pushed hard with a song and video from the Maverick Records band The Deftones. After break its over to Laguna Beach Ca where we find host Roslyn Bradle covering the niche fun beach sport of skim boarding or riding the waves that break on the beach. Laguna is all about the beach break and XC cams get lots of sweet skim moves by some of the best skim surfers out there all mixed up with music and shots from So. Cal based band LiT rolling their song. Roz talks with skim master and Common Sense band member Nick Hernandez about the history of the sport. (1:01) tThe Toyota Snowbomb / Alpine Meadows Sick and Twisted Big Air competition was Sunday, March 9. This HUGE competition included $5000 in cash, and great sponsor prizes. This year’s cash purse was Snowbomb’s largest sum to be awarded. The event was a “big air” format in which competitors hucked a custom-built step-down jump at the bottom of Alpine’s terrain park while performing some of the sports’ latest tricks. Local and regional pros and amateurs of all ages of men’s and women’s ski and snowboard classes were included. The event’s venue was the Kangaroo lift, adjacent to the base lodge. Each competitor received an hour of practice; competitors were scored on the best of two runs by official judges. Winners will be determined by amount of air achieved, style, trick difficulty, and, of course, whether or not the competitor sticks the trick! < less
