Aaron & Austin in Lincoln City (04:11)

Took a couple of local Waldport skaters down to the parks(s) in Lincoln City. Neither of em had been there before and they were both stoked to skate on some new terrain. The upper parks in LC was one of the first parks I ever skated in LC. Still one of my favorites. And now there is a third bowl there with concrete pool coping, too.

The song is a tribute to the also now defunct Nude Bowl, and the time Brian Brannon of JFA helped clean it out by putting an industrial size backhoe on his American Express card so he, Dave Reul and crew could empty the pool which was then filled to the brim with dirt and debris, but for every pool that dies away ...a new pool shall be reborn!

Xcorps Action Sports TV #18.) MTN.BOARD seg.3 (05:48)

Xcorps Action Sports Show #18.)"MTN.BOARD"seg3- Xcorps host Eric Ducharme and 20 other dirt board skaters roll down the infamous Nate Harrison grade on the backside of Californias Mt. Palomar in this grassroots speed driven episode. All terrain skating also known as mountain boarding is a hybrid sport that has taken skating to a whole new grass roots level of adrenalized excitement. Once again Xcorps cameras were the only ones rolling on the action as boarders ripped down the 7 miles of rough fire road on the historic Palomar Mtn which is topped by the famous observatory. Race rules were simple- fastest time to the bottom of the mountain wins. The show opens fast and hot as the X Guru and other boarders strap themselves to their specialized skateboards, which have pneumatic tires, and spring suspensions that help handle the bone jarring washboard ride. Dirt riders roll hard in show scenes backed by Maverick Records band One Side Zero. See the dust and gravel fly as Eric and the guys and one gal-Julian Lewis- slide into the hairpins. Lots of cool POV and multi angle speed shots here along with some brutal wipeouts. Most riders do wear full protective gear resulting in a good survival rate. Eric then talks to race organizer Rob Eakle about the grass roots event and the sponsors that make it happen. After that Eric intros a new video from our friends at RIVE with the band Skinny Puppy showing some major break skills in their new video called Pro Test directed by William Morrison. Very hip shot and edited film backed with tunes by a world-class band. The next segment rolls right into another new video from RIVE and Side One Dummy Records with the band Flogging Molly rocking a punk Celtic-Core Irish jig called Drunken Lullabies. See band member and pro skater Matt Hensley huck some sweet street skate moves here along with more dirt skate scenes with Eric from Mt.Palomar. Nice dusty wipeouts too! After that the X Guru interviews NHG 7 mtn board 1st place race winner Krazy Kris Kidwell and 2nd place winner pro Akoni Kama who talk about their recent gigs. The show wraps with more dirt skate action from Palomar including 4 year old Damian Hurtenstein showing his young board skills followed by a look at some core dirt board action scenes from the video Flirt With Dirt by Damon Krouse. The show opens with special guest host Crystal Fambrini leading the way to super scenic Lake San Vicente near San Diego where she meets Dave Williams from http://www.wakeworld.com/ launching 2 brand new Malibu Wakesetter towboats. Nice. Watching the glassy water pro riders Jimmy Wolf, Sean Obrien and Mike Schwenne are smiling. They know a good day was at hand since the Xcorps had the entire lake secured just for them and their best moves! Very nice-total wake control on a warm November day in So Cal. Fresh tunes and a new vid from Maverick Records band Story of the Year mix up the Big Air action. Check out shot after shot of insanely big smooth moves by all three-world class wakeboarders just having fun for the Xcorps HD cams. Music and some film noire from Select Records band Monday Morning c/o Rive video pump up the segment. Crystal talks to Sean Obrien about the day and what it takes to pull those moves and then intros a wild video from the new punk girl down from Canada-HRM Records Bif Naked doing her tune Letdown. After that Crystal-looking golden behind the wheel of the Mailu- opens it up for rider Jimmy Wolf who hucks and spins trails through the sky above the lake. The footage says it all but the concept involves the sport of skim boarding but on rivers instead of the ocean using bungee cords which harness the rivers current launching the riders upstream over 30 MPH!
