WE TOOK A FEW DAYS OF AFTER THE MAIN TRIP ACROSS THE PRAIRIES TO RECHARGE AND REGROUP. WITH A NEW AND BIGGER CREW CONSISTING OF TORONTOS ORIGINAL OGRE "CHRIS McCALLUM, THE SECTOR 9 CONTINGENT OF STEVE LANGE, TYLER MARTIN AND COLIN NOGUE, NKS O.G. ARRON SHEARE AND THE RIV, MERIDIANS OWN DENNIS ATANASOV, TOFINO CHARGER JAMIE COLLINS, VICTORIAS CROWN JEWEL JIMMY MILLER, AND MYSELF. WE PACKED 3 VEHICLES AND SET OFF ON A TOUR DE FART TO CONQUER VANCOUVER ISLAND. SUNNY VICTORIA AND RAINY TOFINO ARE UP ON DECK THIS TIME AROUND.

THIS PAST SUMMER WE AT MERIDIAN LOADED UP OUR XL VAN FULL OF SKATERS AND HEADED OUT ACROSS WESTERN CANADA ON A DEMO TOUR EXTRAVAGANZA. WORKING TOGETHER WITH SHOPS FROM VICTORIA B.C. TO PRINCE ALBERT SASK. MERIDIAN DELIVERED THE MESSAGE OF SKATEBOARDING AND FUNTIMES TO EVERYONE WHO BORE WITNESS. FAVORING THE SKATE JAM FORMAT AS OPPOSSED TO THE MORE STANDARD DEMO, ALL SKATERS WERE INVITED TO SKATE AND MINGLE WITH THE MERIDIAN ENTOURAGE.
ONE OF THE BEST THINGS ABOUT THIS YEARS TOUR WAS THE NON- STOP VIDEO DOCUMENTATION BY A PARTICULAR ROD LYONS. ROB HELD THE CAMERA SO MUCH THAT AT ONE POINT OF THE TRIP, SASKTOON I THINK, THE CAMERA ACTUALLY FUSED TO HIS HAND. NO LIE! SINCE OUR RETURN, ROB HAS BEEN LOCKED IN HIS EDITING ROOM MANIPULATING THE FOOTY INTO THE FIRST MERIDIAN TOUR VIDEO. WE WILL NOW BE BRINGING YOU 8 EPISODES THROUGHOUT THE WINTER VIA THE INTERWEB. LOOK FOR DVD’S OF THE WHOLE TOUR WITH BONUS FEATURES AVAILABLE IN EARLY SPRING!

WE DROVE MANY MANY HOURS FROM LETHBRIDGE TO VERNON. IT WAS HOT! THE VAN SMELLED SO BAD OF SKATER THAT WE HAD TO STOP AT GRANDE FORKS ALONG THE WAY TO AIR OUT THE VAN, GET A FEW BREWSKI'S, AND SKATE THE CRACT PIPE REPLICA THERE. WE DID MAKE IT TO VERNON LATE IN THE NIGHT AND ALL SLEPT SOUNDLY. THE NEXT DAY WE DEMO'D FOR OUR GOOD FRIEND ADAM AT DUNAS AND SWAM IN THE LAKE. AFTER THE SWIMMING WE DROVE THE LAST LONG DISTANCE LEG OF THE TOUR. AH, HOME SWEET HOME.
OUR HOME DEMO WAS SLATED FOR THE LONSDALE PARK IN NORTH VANCOUVER. COLIN JOINED THE CREW AND STEVE LANGE REGROUPED WITH US. THANKS TO THE BOARDROOM FOR HOOKING THIS ONE UP.
FROM HERE WE WILL GRAB A FEW NEW RIDERS AND HEAD OVER TO VANCOUVER ISLAND FOR THE LAST FOUR EVENTS.

WAKE2 seg.3 (06:43)Xcorps Action Sports Show #26.)"WAKE-2"-seg3- The Xcorps is based in San Diego for good reason-So Cal is the birthplace of many genre action sports including the wild gymnastically inclined kicker sport of wakeboarding- the focus of this show episode featuring some of the best wakers on the planet ripping for the Xcams! The show opens with special guest host Crystal Fambrini leading the way to super scenic Lake San Vicente near San Diego where she meets Dave Williams from http://www.wakeworld.com/ launching 2 brand new Malibu Wakesetter towboats. Nice. Watching the glassy water pro riders Jimmy Wolf, Sean Obrien and Mike Schwenne are smiling. They know a good day was at hand since the Xcorps had the entire lake secured just for them and their best moves! Very nice-total wake control on a warm November day in So Cal. Fresh tunes and a new vid from Maverick Records band Story of the Year mix up the Big Air action. Check out shot after shot of insanely big smooth moves by all three-world class wakeboarders just having fun for the Xcorps HD cams. Music and some film noire from Select Records band Monday Morning c/o Rive video pump up the segment. Crystal talks to Sean Obrien about the day and what it takes to pull those moves and then intros a wild video from the new punk girl down from Canada-HRM Records Bif Naked doing her tune Letdown. Check the high production value in this music film produced by the Canada Music Fund. Go Bif Go! After that Crystal-looking golden behind the wheel of the Mailu- opens it up for rider Jimmy Wolf who hucks and spins trails through the sky above the lake. Insane action shots c/o XC shooter John Porter being tube towed behind the boat. Then in a new product segment Crystal introduces the audience to a new way to ride the water – on Banshee Riverboards. The footage says it all but the concept involves the sport of skim boarding but on rivers instead of the ocean using bungee cords which harness the rivers current launching the riders upstream over 30 MPH!
