Vert is Dead. (02:19)

Brent Marks - Birdhouse "Untitled" (1993) (01:41)

In my opinion, one of the most underrated skaters of the early '90s, Brent was a master of the hardest flip tricks. Watch close... most tricks are double flips (inward heel, treflip, etc) and there is even a triple heel in there. Serious tech before anyone cared. I once saw him pull a quadruple tre-flip down 3 stairs.

This footage of Bly Nantz is from February 2008. February and March had lots of snow and rain so we didn't get as many chances to go out and tape footy. Despite that a few clear days opened up with decent weather. He had just sen Fully Flared and was impressed and heavily influenced by Marc Johnson's part. Bly Nantz - Etnies Flow - Switch Triple Heelflip, Switch Tre Body Varial & more (01:52)

This footage is a little old - from when Bly was 14. This was from the afternoon of November 6th 2007. Bly was grounded for a bad grade in pre algebra but was allowed to skate and tape in front of his house. He pulls the following tricks (in no particular order): Switch Double Heelfip (2x), Switch Triple Heelflip, Fakie 540 Big Spin Flip, Nollie Varial Double Flip, Tre-Haymaker, (short line) Switch Tre Body Varial to Tre-Haymaker. and probably some others I can't remember off hand. All tricks taped in less than an hour. The switch triple heel was done in 4 tries. Practically all these tricks Bly has on lock now and is trying to get them down a local 5 set. He's rediculously good at flatground because we have no skatepark in Owensboro KY. The majority of spots are an instant bust - and he's already been ticketed - which really did not make his parents happy. Watch the footy - you'll be impressed. THIS PAST SUMMER WE AT MERIDIAN LOADED UP OUR XL VAN FULL OF SKATERS AND HEADED OUT ACROSS WESTERN CANADA ON A DEMO TOUR EXTRAVAGANZA. WORKING TOGETHER WITH SHOPS FROM VICTORIA B.C. TO PRINCE ALBERT SASK. MERIDIAN DELIVERED THE MESSAGE OF SKATEBOARDING AND FUNTIMES TO EVERYONE WHO BORE WITNESS. Bly Nantz ledge lines (00:51)

Bly Nantz skating the Meanwhile ledge boxes on July 14th, 2008. Bly and I live in the metropolis know as Owensboro KY. We have very few skate spots - and those we have are a complete bust. Cops love to give out tickets here. So I've decided to build some decent ledge boxes and we've invaded the the greenbelt (jogging/biking path that circles town). The ledges are just big enough to be a challenge (6' long by 12" tall and 4' long by 9" tall) but small enough to fit in the back of the van. We have no other options - we have to make our own skate spots... I never said we lived in Barcelona. Bly Nantz - Etnies Flow - Big Spin Double Flip over hip, backside flip 8 set (01:41)

This footage of Bly Nantz is a bit older from early October 2007 when he was 14. There are three main spots he skates in this video: Nashville TN Metro Skatepark, Franklin TN Plaza, and the KWC area in Owensboro KY. We drove 2 hours down to Nashville to check out the Franklin Plaza for the first time. Bly got there and just threw down the backside flip without even ollie'ing the 8 set first. We didn't get to stay long as a friend's truck broke and we had to go back into Nashville to get him a new truck. We were at Franklin for a little over an hour. We the truck fixed and went to Metro (aka CWC). Bly hadn't been there since January of 2007 so he was really eager to skate the euro and hips. Again jumps out of the car and starts killin the place. Cab flip up the euro gap, tre haymaker up the euro. Metro was oddly vacant that day so Bly was able to hit a hip that you normally can't come at the way he did because if the flow of traffic. So he nailed 4 big spin double flips over the shallow hip - the one you are seeing was the cleanest of them. Bly kills tech street manuevers due to the fact that we have no skatepark in Ownebsoro KY so when he gets to go places and skate he's usually trying his tricks on new obstacles for the first time - and that's largely what you're seeing in his footythat I post here. Andrew LaPenna Tre Flip 8 set + Kills rails (01:05)

Andrew LaPenna is the newest member of the Meanwhile Skateboards team. We met up with him in Nashville to skate at 2 public skate parks: Metro and Franklin. Andrew is so consistent at landing tricks I had to separate the Metro footage and the Franklin footage into 2 different video parts because he was landing more than falling. He's not the most tech skater out there but he can skate most any terrain at full speed and land rolling out smooth. Watch this video of Andrew from the Franklin skate park -- you'll see what I'm talking about. This footy is from Saturday August 9th, 2008. Andrew is from Chapmansboro TN, just turned 17 a few days ago and is looking for a shoe, wheel, bearings and truck sponsor.
