New 4 Stroke World Record Jump (01:16)

This morning my original plan was just to do a few speed runs and continue testing my new suspension from De Wayne Jones on the 200 ft. natural jump. When I headed towards the ramp on my 2nd speed run I just decided to go for it. It was a bit scary because after the first speed run the batteries went out in our radar gun so I had no idea how fast I was going on the 2nd speed run. I backed off quite a bit on the throttle. I hit the ramp in my usual low flying tucked position and soared 330 ft. and 6 inches. Little did I know at the time that the current 4 stroke World record was set by Ryan Capes in Australia and was 324 ft. So almost by accident I set a new 4 stroke world record today.

Xcorps Action Sports Show #12.)"LUGE"-segs1and2- Xcorps cameras were the only ones rolling at a grassroots guerilla style gravity sports event we call The Barrett Junction Shootout featuring downhill luge, stand up skate board, inline speed skate and gravity bike racing held at Barrett Junction near San Diego Ca. Firestorms raged as gravity riders from around the world zipped on leathers, checked trucks and let it go at the IGSA sanctioned event organized by rider Frank Waterhouse who broke the course record on the closed stretch of highway not far from the Mexican border. Xcorps host Bob Woodard opens the show from San Diego riding the Speed Skater street luge equipped with the new SkateBrake.Papa Roach and Lo-Tel pump the action with X and Gravity Games winners like Rat Sult and the ever-loved Kludy pushing 60mph down the hair pinned and cliff edged coarse which offered no room for error. See riders in their best speed tucks and a sick head over heels wipeout by gravity bike rider Noah Rutherford who lives to tell the Xcorps cameras all about it. Inline speedskaters Dave Lambert and downhill champ George Merkert talk about their realm of the event and invite other skaters to go for speed while Donald Orlando shows off his 84mm 6 wheel skates he got up to 58mph! Nice. After that Xcorps guest host and gravity champ Rat Sult talks to the fiercest female competitor in the league Stacy Allen from Oklahoma and asks her how she got into the sport. Chairing Slam 2007 (01:07)

On Saturday 10/6 while filming shots for the 2007 Chairing video J2 took a hard slam. He took off the launch ramp, but his chair pulled to the right and he landed incorrectly on the landing ramp. This caused his chair to tip and slammed him too the ground. He slammed his head and shoulder into the pavement. He sustained a bloody deep cut on his head and sore, swollen, & sprained shoulder. J2 usually wears his helmet during big stunts and felt he didn't need it during these low speed jumps. He was wrong!

Xcorps Action Sports Show #15.)"RAT"-seg4close- This Xcorps episode runs fast hot and just inches off the pavement with guest host and gold medal street luger Rat Sult taking our cameras to his secret training hill and a tour of his X toy filled garage all pumped hard with new music and videos from Rive Video Productions. Guest host Rat Sult who is known in the industry as a bad assed nice guy has some fun as an Xcorps host giving details on subjects such as his protective leathers and how to roll without burning on a high-speed slide. Great shots here with Rat screaming by the cameras at close to 60 MPH on the rural So Cal hairpins. See dust fly as he cuts it too close and hits the rock wall.! New hip hop vid from the band WildChild doing their song WonderYears rolls this action. After the break Rat returns with some shots from his luge gold medal wins in the X and Gravity Games and a thro to a pimpin huge video from our pals at RIVE and SPV Records with the band Monster Magnet rolling out their song Unbroken Hotel Baby. Interview with band member Dave Windorf after the video. What an icon! Then the luge street action returns from the serpentine hills 30 miles north of San Diego with Rat and some adrenalized POV on board shots pushed by the angst and darkness of RoadRunner Records band SlipKnot letting loose out of control scenes from their new video Duality. This band set some new standards for sure. After the dark there comes the light with Rat introducing the band Nickelback and their new video Feeling Way too Damn Good. Nice film production and effects quality here. Feeling good tune. Then Rat picks up more speed on his billet aluminum street luge and rolls the cameras this time to his house in Temecula Ca and a look at the fun sports toys he keeps in his garage. See the Rat Sult collectors edition action sports figure and the special edition Rat Gravity downhill skateboard. Rat also shows off his winning luge rigs and gives a little on the sports history. See what toy he digs most! Andrew LaPenna Tre Flip 8 set + Kills rails (01:05)

Andrew LaPenna is the newest member of the Meanwhile Skateboards team. We met up with him in Nashville to skate at 2 public skate parks: Metro and Franklin. Andrew is so consistent at landing tricks I had to separate the Metro footage and the Franklin footage into 2 different video parts because he was landing more than falling. He's not the most tech skater out there but he can skate most any terrain at full speed and land rolling out smooth. Watch this video of Andrew from the Franklin skate park -- you'll see what I'm talking about. This footy is from Saturday August 9th, 2008. Andrew is from Chapmansboro TN, just turned 17 a few days ago and is looking for a shoe, wheel, bearings and truck sponsor. Xcorps Action Sports TV #7.) SPEEDSKI seg.2 (03:11)

Xcorps Action Sports Show #7.)"SPEEDSKI"-seg2- You can see all the action and hear all the music in this custom episode of The X Corps called SPEEDSKI which introduces the audience to hidden sports like the Long Beach to Catalina open ocean water ski races. The show opens with XC host Jason Lazo jammin’ some of his own tunes with his guitar on the beach at Swamis in Encinitas Ca. Jason intro’s the whacked sport of open ocean high speed water skiing-The Catalina races- held once a year out of Long Beach harbor. Participants in the race sign up for a 63 mile round trip straight line tour to the island of Catalina and back pulled by high performance 1200 horse power race boats. Most racers go non-stop completing the circuit in less than 1 hour! Average speed is 70mph. We shot this segment strapped into an open door rock ‘n’ roll helicopter the Boeing MD-500 with pilot Larry Etchandy at the controls. Larry is crazy and used to shooting big Hollywood films and he gave us one wild ride resulting in some great action footage. Try flying backwards and sideways just feet in front of an open throttled race boat! Interviews with the winning skiers on board the ocean liner Queen Mary after the races. Eric The X Guru Ducharme hosts this segment shot at his pad in Encinitas Ca where several of the motorized units were being assembled. Eric talks to inventor Grant Taylor about the new 46cc rim drive 4 stroke foot motorcycle and gets to ride one too. Extremist and snowboard legend Shawn Farmer is on hand here as well helping with the assembly. If you can stand on a snowboard or ride a skateboard you can roll on a Wheelman says Grant.
