C’mon, Mike, you’re from the East Coast… you know we like to skate from spot to spot rather than “drive”. Let the snowboarders “drive” to their spots… We skaters RIDE!

I here ya, I live in a small town with nothing but the 4-stair and a curb as well. Some people might take advantage of their park and say it sucks wishing for a bigger one, but the skaters in my town would love to have any sort of designated area to skate. Even as small as the one in the video. Least it’s something.

i love this cause being in a small town never really having much to skate just basic like 4 stair 1 curb and and a couple of gaps i just wish i had a place like that in my little town of 2000 to skate at. Maybe i would have focused more on my skateing then the party. What i wise i could take back. But to realize is better then to never change. Sk8in saved me... more >

Mike Vallely (AKA Mike V) is a cultural icon. He is a professional skateboarder, musician, TV personality (DRIVE on Fuel TV), stuntman and actor. He is a hero and a legend to fans young and old alike all over the world. Born and raised in Edison, New Jersey, Mike made a name for himself in 1986 when he was discovered by skateboarding legends Stacy Peralta and Lance Mountain while skateboarding in a parking lot in Virginia Beach, Virginia. The first east coast based street-skater to emerge on the scene, Mike became an overnight sensation in the skateboarding world and has remained one of its most influential and important professionals over the past twenty-two years and counting. Mike is also the vocalist for the kick-ass, hard rocking band Revolution Mother formed in 2005. Previously Mike sang for the hardcore outfit Mike V and the Rats and he was a guest vocalist in the Black Flag reunion shows at the Hollywood Palladium in 2003. After touring with bands like Bad Religion and Tiger Army as well as playing on the past two Warped Tours, Revolution Mother have fine tuned their sound and live show and continue to do damage to the music scene with their own brand of pissed off rock and roll. Passionate, articulate, intensified and energized like no other, Mike V has always walked unwavering to the beat of his own drum. He has pursued everything from professional wrestling to writing and self-publishing poetry and has done it all with his own unique and aggressive style. An outlaw, a daredevil, a poet and a family man; Mike V has somehow blended all of his interests and passions into one on-going celebration of life and living, inspiring generation after generation. ________________________________________________________________________ “A hundred years from now, Mike Vallely (also known as Mike V) will be viewed as one of skateboarding’s pioneers. He’ll be remembered as a burly, glue-footed, hella-pop artist. An ATV ruler, a poet, and a fighter’s fighter. An iconoclast among icons.” – Transworld Skateboarding Magazine “Over the last twenty some years the name Mike Vallely (also know as Mike V) has come to be associated with an ever-expanding palette of disparate but oddly complementary activities and ideas. Much more than just an explosive, unpredictable skateboarder, Vallely is also a spoken word artist, vocalist, brutal brawler, and most recently- acclaimed television personality (Drive on FuelTV). Married sixteen years and a father of two daughters, Vallely’s never slowed down. Imbued with a sense of limitless freedom and a love of responsibility, he attempts to live his life as a creative and energetic role model to millions of skateboarders.” – Transworld Skateboarding Magazine < less
