Tuesday, September 12th, 17-year-old Samantha Merchant and 15-year-old Tyler Fingerle were in a tragic accident. They had been with friends and went to run a quick errand. Tyler’s dad, Shawn Fingerle says, “They didn’t return. We didn’t think anything of it until we started to hear sirens. Then we thought oh my goodness, something’s happened.” Their car hit a utility pole and when they both got out they were struck by a live electric wire. Samantha Merchant was killed by the shock. Fingerle was thrown to the ground. Mike Webb and Marina Garcia were the first to see the accident. They called it in and then rushed over to help. Tragically Webb was also hit by that live wire and died.

Tyler and his friend Samantha were in a car accident. They ran into a power line, When they got out, Samantha stepped on the power line and died. The only reason why Tyler didn’t die was because of his Element shoes. They were made of rubber or something like that. He lost his foot though.
