Description: This event had taken place May the 3rd 2009. Santa Rita Skate Park was designed by Chris Staggs former Powell Peralta Pro, Gavin Troy SIMS Pro and some other Vert Pros all from the 80's. It finally opened April 2009 after 12years of waiting for the city of Tucson to build it. In Celebration of its birth. Smiley's Skateboard Shop will be Hosting a Vert Bbq every year. This years BBQ is getting planned now. We hope to have this event get bigger and bigger every year. Its free to all that want to come and check it out. Skate or not. This years BBQ will take place May the 2nd. Which is the first Sunday of May. Starts at 11am. Last year we had People like Kevin Stabb. Who is the man. The Greek showed. Which was such an honor.
